Your Democratic Candidates for Governor

It’s rare that we have this many Democrats running to be Governor of Florida. Here’s a little bit about each of them from their websites:

PHILLIP LEVINE – Age 56, from Miami Beach
With a proven track record of extraordinary private and public sector success as a self-made South Florida entrepreneur, and then as a two term Mayor of Miami Beach, Philip demonstrates the leadership skills necessary to break one-party rule in Tallahassee and bring Floridians together to get things done. CHRIS KING– Age 38, from Orlando
Born in Orlando, Chris is a third-generation Central Floridian. He graduated from Harvard University and earned his law degree from the University of Florida. Over the last decade, Chris has revitalized thousands of run-down apartments, turning them into thriving communities.

JEFF GREENE– Age 63, from Palm Beach
The Palm Beach County businessman has made education a signature platform for his campaign; he started his own private school in 2016. Greene’s been a staunch critic of the Trump administration and has a new television ad showing him arguing with President Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort where he’s also a member.

GWEN GRAHAM – Age 55, from Tallahassee
In 2014, tired of the politics as usual in Washington, Gwen challenged an extreme Tea Party congressman in a conservative district. She ran on a promise to fight for the middle class and campaigned in every corner of the district. Despite being a Republican wave year, Gwen won her race — one of just two Democrats in the entire country to defeat an incumbent Republican.

ANDREW GILLUM – Age 38, from Tallahassee
He was the first in his family to graduate college and he went on to become the youngest person in history elected to the Tallahassee City Commission, before later becoming Mayor.
As Mayor, Andrew developed a thriving innovation economy, beat the gun lobby in court to protect commonsense reform and stood up to President Trump and Governor Rick Scott to defend immigrants.
